Skegness Aquarium

After we had packed up from Butlins before heading home we decided to go to the Skegness Aquarium.

Long John Silver | Skegness Aquarum #coldcuppaclubWe were greeted by 2 very enthusiastic and friendly ladies who explained where everything was and what times they fed the fish. Afterwards, we had an option of having a photo taken, which would then be made into a memento at the end of our visit.

After the photo we were lead into a room where we met Long John Silver. He recounted a tale of lost treasure and gave us clues to search for it.

We had a treasure quest and were promised our share of the treasure if we could solve all the clues.

It was all really well done and there was a great atmosphere.

The first room, held all Long John Silvers pet rats, scorpions and millipedes.

The tanks were amazing in their selves, this one had a concave dome which created an optical illusion that you were right there inside the tank.

Kate loved the viewing window in this tank.

The props were all very realistic looking.

We were lucky enough to see the divers feeding the fish in the main tank. The divers were quite entertaining and did a Q and A session before feeding the fish.

We had lunch at the Aquarium then went to collect our treasure as we had found all the clues and managed to work out the answer.
