We were invited to Ikea yesterday for a #livelagom celebration.
It was a very enjoyable experience meeting up with everyone again and chatting about everyone’s successes with the project.
After a lovely meal(sustainable salmon burgers, veggie balls and cous cous) we had the opportunity to decorate the -ever so versatile- Korken Jar. The kids were particularly thrilled with this activity and in no time were wielding paintbrushes. I’ll share a photo of their master pieces when they finally decide what they would like to use their jars for.
I love the jar filled with fairy lights, I’m sure they will be featuring in our Halloween and Christmas celebrations.
The council have informed us that they will only be collecting our waste every 3 weeks from October, had it not been for the #livelagom project that would be a big worry for us, but over the past 9 months we have been making subtle changes that the we aren’t too worried about the councils changes to our collection.
We would like to say a big thank you to Ikea for including us in the #livelagom project, and in particular Jordon from Ikea Ashton-under-lyne its been a wonderful experience and we look forward to continuing the journey.
